Submitted for your consideration is this 1962 Cadillac Town Sedan, Model 62-62C originating out of Denver Colorado
and now resides in Franklin, TN.
This is a low-production 3 or 4 Owner rare survivor car of which GM only produced 2600 ( 1962 Cadillac Prod. Data ).
The Color is Gold over Tan Cloth and is in exceptional condition considering its vintage of which many have not survived to this quality. The current owner bought this car as you see it, complete with original floor mats and spare tire that has never been on the ground. The only modifications in the current ownership short of gentle use and routine maintenance include:
New Wheel Cylinders
New Master Cylinder
New U-joint
Rebuilt Carbuerator
Rear Wheel Bearings
OPTIONS: PS, PB, PW, AM/FM/STEREO, Aftermarket CD Player discreetly located in glove box with remote.
Everything works on the car. Consistent with other examples of this vintage the clock works 50% of the
time, but is right at least twice a day!
EXTERIOR: Gold Metallic Original Factory Finish exhibiting minor paint fade and v. minor door chips on right front door.
All 4 Wheel Covers are intact exhibiting no curb-scrape. Mohave tires match the originals and are in like-new condition.
All Chrome/Brightwork is complete showing no rust or obvious damage. Vehicle has always been in an arid or dry environment and stored in a climate-controlled garage so it's rust free with no collision damage evident. I should note the left front fender has a minor rub mark just above the left front fender (see photo). All Glass is intact and damage-free.
INTERIOR: Interior is all original and truly incredible. Beige Cloth interior has no soiling or tears or bolster wear. Carpet is intact with light soiling mostly in driver floor area, but no heal-pad wear for it's tender age of 53035 unaltered original miles. Headliner is intact, clean as are the original sun visors. Floor mats are included and appear to be factory. All Cloth Door Cards are likewise in excellent condition. All Dash Bright work is free of any pitting. Dash top pad does have a centrally-located dash crack that is an inexpensive repair if that's important to the next owner.
MECHANICALS: Engine starts promptly, runs quietly with no unusual sounds, odors or leaks. Transmission shifts flawlessly through all detents with no sign of any leaks. Exhaust is in good condition and otherwise unremarkable.
This car is a wonderful survivor that runs quietly as a Cadillac should offering an excellent luxury ride consistent with Cadillacs History.
The sale is a reluctant one as the owner downsizes with age. No trades please.
All known information has been provided. The photos tell the story.
Vehicle is available for inspection/purchase with advance notice.
Asking $24,500.00 obo . I suspect the first person who sees this incredible example will likely buy it. Don't wait or it will be gone!
