Extensive mechanical restoration completed within 2009 - 2012 includes:
- Engine: re-built heads, new valves (converted to run on unleaded fuel), new oil pump, timing chain, harmonic balancer, no oil consumption
- Transmission: new seals, clutches, torus cover, driveshaft balance, new u-joints
- Fuel: re-built carter carburetor, new fuel pump, gas tank cleaned
- Cooling System: re-cored radiator and heater core, re-built heater valve and water pump, new heater hoses
- Electrical: new battery, new NOS neutral/backup light switch in steering column, re-built generator, new voltage regulator, new petronix electronic ignition, new horn relay, new electric wiper motor, new brake light switch, new drivers window motor, new modern radio with MP-3 hook-up
- Exhaust: new exhaust from manifold to tailpipes, dual flow master 50’s resonators can be added to quiet system if desired
- Brakes: re-built booster, re-sleeved master cylinder, new wheel cylinders, new brake shoes, new front brake hoses, new inner and outer wheel bearings
- Suspension: new tires, new outer tie rod ends, new idler arm, new shocks, wheels were aligned
- Body: stripped to bare metal, re-painted in original color “Bahama Blue” (1957 color option) single paint, paint job by Maaco , re-chromed rear bumper
- Interior: new upholstery, new carpeting, new door panels, new weather stripping
- Remaining items to finish: upholstery of trunk interior, enable windshield washer system, electric front bench seat moves up and down and tilts but does not move forward and backwards. Some bubbles on lower door corner.
Car runs excellent and drives beautifully - travel anywhere with confidence. It is equipped with all available factory power option , except A/C
