I will try to give you the best description of the car as I can. First off, mechanically the car seems to be very solid, with nothing major wrong with it. I have had the car since Feb, and drove it all over the place this past summer. Here are the issues with the car as far as I can tell. The right front break will need to be looked at. the breaks work, but as I drove the car, it started to make a thumping noise as you stop. I am assuming that the breaks may need to be adjusted, or that one of the shoes is loose. the gentleman that I purchased the car from claimed that he had new breaks put on the car, as well as new lines. He also said that he was told that the tie rod end on that same side of the car was "weak" but I seem to think that it is ok, but this could also be the cause. The only work that I did to the car was to put a used power steering pump on as the old one was leaking. The frame of the car is solid, but has normal surface rust, there has been some body work done to the car and there is bondo in the rear fenders. I did not do this work, so I do not know the reason for the work. There are additional moldings and lettering that need to be put on the car. I have most of these but am missing some of the letters. The gentleman that I purchased the vehicle from did give me a contact for a parts dealer that has the lettering. the interior is in overall nice shape. No holes or cracks, just some wear marks on the drivers seat. The carpeting is in nice condition with the exception of one small hoe on the passenger rear side which i only nnoticed when vaccuming. the only real interior issue is that the clear laminate on the wood graining that is on the door panels is starting to seperate. As far as I know it is the original interior in the car, but the car has been repainted and touched up. the crome is in ok shape, it is very presentable, but is not perfect, there are some dull spots and pits hear and there. the convertable top works ve ry good, but there are two small holes along the seams in the back that I was going to repair, or the top may need replaced if you want to do that. As far as I can tell the floorboards and trunk are solid. All of the glass is in very good condition. the windows work, but I believe that the main switch on the drivers door needs to be replaced. To get the windows to work, you have to hold the top swithc in the emergency positon. The drivers side rear does not work, but again I believe that this is due to the switch on the drivers door. Both the radio and 8 track player work, but the rear speakers are not hooked up for the radio, only the 8 track. The seat and heater blower are not working, I haven't investegated this yet, but I believe that it may be to a fuse. All of the lights work, turn signals and break lights work and the time delay feature for the headlights work. the tilt and telescopic steering wheel works.
