In 1976 Cadillac decided to cease production of any convertible models and destroyed their molds to produce convertibles.
However, the motoring public demanded a luxury convertible so in 1983 Cadillac contracted with Hess & Eisenhardt Company to manufacturer a limited amount of Cadillac Eldorado Convertibles.
Hess & Eisenhardt were building Presidential Armored Limosines and other high end custom vehicles...they were...and still are known for their quality & workmanship.
These cars were produced for GM 1983-1985 in limited quanities and were very expensive cars at that time....The MSRP was around $32,000 per car.
This car has been always well-maintained, garage kept and is in EXCELLENT ORIGINAL condition.
It drives and looks AS NEW...has NO leaks and is a real joy to drive.
It has one of the 1st BOSE radio system.
It's original HT-4100 Digital fuel injection V-8 runs perfect.
It has all digital instrumentation, automatic AC & Heat, Power seats, power windows, power door locks, remote trunk release, power antenna, auto headlamps and full power top.
It is a 26 year old car that almost looks like a new car. It has been driven an average of 3300 miles a year.
This is a 26 year old car that is a ball to drive but is also very, very rare and collectable and will appreciate in value faster than almost anything you could invest in today in this price range.
If you have a garage and agree to drive it 2500 miles a year or less...the insurance is less than $200 for full coverage.
This is a turn key car...nothing to do or repair and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere and any distance....and it great comfort as well.
