A collector’s dream
The 1955 Buick Special Estate Wagon featured here is finished in the stunning factory color combination of Mist Green over Nile Green with a largely original green and beige interior. This particular example was sold new in April 1955 by Barger Buick Co. of Keyser, West Virginia, to a Mr. A.A. Mullen. This Buick Special Estate Wagon would later spend many years under the care of a Buick collector who reputedly undertook a sympathetic restoration around 10 years ago. This rare Estate Wagon presents wonderfully, showcasing a largely original interior and currently displaying 46,862 miles on the odometer. The accompanying documentation notes two services in June of 1974 at 34,000 miles and July of 1978 at 37,000 miles, respectively. Even more incredible is the original owner’s service policy which verifies that the numbers matching 264ci “Fireball” V8 engine still powers this Buick Special to this day! Additional accompanying documentation includes the owner’s manual, original dealer purchase order, original loan paperwork and dealer brochure. A set of period luggage, picnic basket and cooler add a special charm the Buick’s rear compartment. We are proud to offer this superbly documented, matching numbers 1955 Buick Special Estate Wagon to the most sophisticated collector, investor or enthusiast who appreciates low mileage and excellent documentation.
