This is a relatively rare 1950 vehicle. In 1950, only 12,259 were produced (for $2,410) compared with 32,810 Chevy, and 50,299 Ford, convertibles. They are difficult to find in any condition and at any price- outside the restored models that are out of sight $ wise (Hagerty: these cars restored to #2 condition (local show condition) have recently risen above an average of $54,000). Eight cylinder 263 cid/128 bhp, 2 bbl. The rarity of these classic cars forces us to dig deep into the salvage yards and piece together cars that will become show winners upon restoration. That is the case with this machine. Title in hand. It comes with a donor 1950 Buick from which many good parts can be substituted in the convertible: trunk, great steering wheel, chrome, etc. The owner will make a whole car except for the convertible top which is not needed. Indeed, this shop regularly turns out excellent restorations and will be happy to produce one from the donor Buick if this is desired. If the donor car is not wanted the price for the convertible is $6,800.
