For sale is a two-owner 1984 Buick Riviera Coupe similar to the one featured in the hit Netflix TV show, “Spenser Confidential” featuring Alan Arkin and Mark Wahlberg. Vehicle has 72,200 miles and three options rarely ordered by buyers – chrome alloy wheels, factory installed Bose premium concert sound system and the first-time offered leather seats with the suede inserts – and it’s almost impossible to find a 1984 Riviera with all three options together, making this car unique. This vehicle is all original, with the exception of the bumper fillers and a Sony AM/FM radio with CD player. It drives and handles as if it just came off the showroom floor.
Car has a 4.1L, 252 CI V6 with Computer Command Control and a 4-speed Turbo Hydromatic transmission with overdrive. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums, and the car features fully independent four-wheel coil suspension with front and rear stabilizing bars.
The power antenna motor, A/C compressor, the front CV drive axles, battery and water pump were replaced. In 2019, the Riviera received a new coat of paint and Hankook Optima 225/75 R15 tires. In 2020 the muffler, resonator and tailpipe were replaced. Most recently, new engine mounts, transmission mounts, spark plugs and fuel pump were installed. I have most service records going back to 1984.
The interior is brown leather with tan suede inserts, matching carpets mats and plastics accented by faux wood dash and door trim. Options include a split front bench seat featuring six-way power adjustment, power door locks, power antenna, dual remote power side view window control and a self-leveling suspension. R134a air conditioning, power windows, rear window defroster, cruise control, automatic climate control, a remote trunk opener, controlled cycle wipers, three-point front seatbelts. and an automatic, electronic self-closing trunk lid.
