1961 Buick LeSabre 4-Door Bubbletop
364cubic inch Wildcat “Nail-head” V8
Shockwave Air Suspension up front w/ bags in rear. Dual 12-15Amp compressors with valves wired to four 2-way switches. Each bag controlled independently.
Engine runs beautifully.
Interior:
All original. Gobs of space for small parties or office meetings. Seats need redone but have “Indian" blankets covering them now. Original AM radio was inspected, repaired and cleaned to factory condition 2 years ago by an FCC licensed radio guy in Arizona. I installed a new-in-box 1970s-80s era FM radio tuner so you can get TV and FM bands.
Exterior:
This car solid 50 year old car is never been wrecked. No dents or dings. This car was probably built from scrap metal from Sherman tanks and B-24 Liberator bombers. Think of how many Priuses and Civics you could plow through unscathed. Is currently in white primer. Chrome is all original and looks good. A couple small trim pieces on the trunk lid need re-plated. I added fender skirts. Carburetor and intake rebuilt and gone through this past summer. Drive shaft rebuilt and modified by Charlie Patterson. New 65Amp alternator. I have original (rebuilt) generator.
Modifications/Repairs:
2005-2006(?)- Air ride installed.
2009- New 160 degree thermostat installed.
2010- New ignition coil. Pertronix Ignitor II kit installed. New driveshaft with new joints, slip yoke and built to accommodate 1958-1964 Chevy center support instead of more expensive Buick ones. Remember, Shermans and Liberators! New pinion seal. 65Amp alternator installed w/ fabricated brackets and 1-wire conversion.
2011- Carburetor rebuild and intake manifold plate repaired.
Bummers:
Windshield wiper motor will need rebuilt, I believe. It use to work fine but now is hit or miss.
Some re-chrome work on trunk lid piece and small rear quarter pieces.
Door window chrome channel pieces are ok but recommend replacing/re-chroming.
Seats need recovered. Dash pad cracked, needs re-done.

New replacement vent window glass for both front doors.
