This car is our daily driver! We have a clear title in our name, current tag/insurance, car has had three owners that we know of, runs great and is 90% original as far as interior. Straight in line 6 cyl engine, 2 & 4 WD with flick of a switch. Less than 600 of these made in 1987 before new Jeeps came into being.
Attributes of this classic: (everything works to our knowledge!)
Rear window defrost, 146K actual miles, power door locks and windows, quartz clock keeps good time, new alternator, good 2 yr old battery, all hoses are new, new brakes all the way, incl master and all wheel cylinders, lines, calipers/shoes, pressure switch, good tires on original wheels with org wheel covers, new headlights high/low beam, thermostat, all belts replaced in the last 2 years. Original cig lighter and all knobs/buttons are original and present. Original AMC Eagle Owner's Manual included and two sets of original AMC keys included!
This Eagle has been garage kept most of her life and is most excellent condition for a daily driver. Parts for body and mechanical can still easily be found, many are at local auto parts stores.
Non-original items:
Headliner, new hatch weather strip, Sony Am/FM CD player, lighted automatic shifter on floor, new 2 color paint, recent front end alignment, oil change, tire rotation and scheduled for new exhaust system next week 01/15/16.
This classic has a flawless interior (with only one small tear on the side of passenger seat) with original carpeting, too! She cranks first time and runs smooth with lots of pep. We bought her as a classic for our son to tinker with and show, but he has changed directions, so we're wanting to let her go to a new home where she can be shown and kept nice.
